Melbourne-based creative director and film photographer, Tyler Cox, crafts visually arresting narratives steeped in nostalgia, intimacy, and subversion. Inspired by the raw sensuality of 90s aesthetics and the provocative allure of vintage Playboy magazines, his work blurs the lines between desire, identity, and power.
Shooting primarily on 35mm film, Tyler embraces the imperfections and tactile richness of analog imagery, elevating each frame with a cinematic, almost voyeuristic quality. His lens gravitates toward themes of men, masculinity, and sex—unraveling the nuanced interplay of vulnerability and dominance, attraction and detachment.
Through striking compositions and evocative storytelling, Tyler challenges conventions, inviting viewers into a world where intimacy is both seen and felt. His work doesn’t just document—it provokes, seduces, and lingers in the mind long after the image fades.
